The Sekirei space-ship crashed on Earth in 1999 on Kamikura Island , and was discovered by two pupils, Hiroto Minaka (potential MBI chairman) and Takami Sahashi (potential MBI head researcher and Minato's mom). On board, the pair had discovered 108 lifeforms, explained as "One pillar and 107 baby birds".
