Nonetheless, Velvet, the protagonist, lived with her kin in a distant part of the kingdom in relative luxury. One evening, as a crimson moon emerged, her once-savior Artorius betrayed her, resulting in her family's loss and the possession of her left arm by an enigmatic force that consumed demons. After Artorius initiated the Abbey and the Exorcists, the world regained some stability, hailing him as its rescuer. But Velvet remained solely resentful towards him.
