The manga follows a plot set within a school where the students are modeled after renowned Japanese shoguns from history. Initially a typical institution, Sengoku Gakuen was transformed into a student-run haven when its leader, Oda Nobunaga, seized control. After graduation, Nobunaga passed the mantle to his successor, Hideyoshi, who left school to support his regime. The story intensifies when the disciplined Ishida Mitsunari challenges Tokugawa Ieyasu, the temporary student president with a large following, for the leadership throne. Other famous figures, such as the devoted Ootani Yoshitsugu and Nobunaga's younger sibling, Oichi, also come into play. Who will emerge victorious in the fight for the student presidency and rule over the school?
