This is a story about two girls (Yuka & Maho) who dream of becoming famous mangaka. Each chapter tells a phase in their career, starting from their first audition in a manga writing competition, until they become professional mangaka.

[Summary from Pink Rose Scans] Harumi's your typical grade 9 girl. Sure, she still sleeps with her stuffed animal that she dubbed "Umetaro," and her ability to sense snow before it falls is labelled as just plain "weird" by her friends, but otherwise, she's your average girl just like any other. When her mother accidentally ruins her stuffed animal though by accidentally spilling coffee all over it, it sets the ball rolling for a series of events that changes her outlook on life. She even meets a young guy working at a local knick knacks shop who reminds her of her beloved Umetaro! As she gets to know him more, she begins to realize that there is someone out there in the world who'll accept her for who she is. As it turns out---he's Eguchi, the resident class "mystery" who's only ever attended one of his classes. As they get talking, Konashi realizes he's nothing like the rumours made him out to be---and so began a quirky brief friendship that leaves a strong impression on him even years after.
Her dad, remarried, has moved Inageshi from the city to the country side village of Ogawara where agriculture is very abundant. As a new member of the Nozawa family, she learns the ins and outs of farming which Inageshi finds exciting. But what is more incredible is having new sisters in her life. Yashiro is the oldest, beautiful and seems innocent but has a wild side to her. Mayu is vibrant and vocal but is scared to death of insects. Ringo is the youngest but by far the brains of the group and is an encyclopedia of important and sometimes unimportant information. Their sisterly bonds are still little saplings but with each day passing it becomes stronger.
