From Hoshikuzuu Scans: Kengo is depressed after injuring his arm during baseball practice. He meets an unsociable student in the music room. The next day, after realizing that the student was his classmate, Yoshioka, who has never shown up for class, he visits the music room again. Despite Yoshioka's evasiveness, Kengo's persistence leads to the discovery that Yoshioka was held back one year due to a case of bullying. This is a story that depicts a tale of love between two wounded boys.

The great demon Mao Dante, exploiting the weakness of a boy exposed to his demoniac influence in the dreams, is awakened from a thousand years sleep. The will of this being, a survivor of an ancient and forgotten civilization , is to wipe out the whole human race. Anyhow nothing is so simple: the motivations of the demon aren't soo wicked as one could think and they will combine with the life of the boy which hangs between nightmare and craziness. In the meanwhile the satanist will fight against the hierarchy of the church to obtain a justice which is, as it's easy to guess, that of the demon Mao. This series didn't have an ending until it's remake in 2002. Nagai took many ideas from Mao Dante into Devilman.
Sawaguchi Ruka is 20 years old and going to college. During high school she was cheated on and the guy blamed it on her. Ruka than meets Soushrou, an irritating 16 year old, whom she can't get out of her head. In an attempt to forget about him she dates Murai, a co-worker, but instead she finds herself wanting to spend more time with Soushrou?

They join forces, inspiring the team to victory. Thus starts the story of a group of teenagers working to reach the top, fighting tooth and nail the entire way.
