On the secluded island of Rokkenjima, Battler Ushiromiya and his family were trapped and murdered under unusual circumstances attributed to Beatrice, the Golden Witch. After continually challenging the existence of magic and powerful witches, Battler has become the Game Master of the board involving the mysterious events that occured. To prove his understanding of the mystery, he must defeat Erika Furudo, the detective and piece for the witch Bernkastel. Meanwhile, a childlike Beatrice, reborn through Battler's efforts, struggles to regain her former personality for Battler's sake. As the new game begins, the unfolding events are brought into existence by two objective observers: the Witch of the Theatre, Featherine Augustus Aurora, and her chosen reader, Ange Ushiromiya, Battler's sister as she is in 1998. On Rokkenjima in 1986, love becomes important to understanding the truth behind the events, particularly as it pertains to George and Jessica Ushiromiya, and the servants Shannon and Kanon.

The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru, is the daughter of a doctor who works in Edo. The father leaves Edo to work as a volunteer doctor and moves to Kyoto without his daughter. As time passes by, Chizuru starts worrying about losing contact with her father, so she decides to go to Kyoto in search of him. On the way, Chizuru is attacked by few criminals and witnesses a fight between an oni and the Shinsengumi. Taking her into custody and saving her, the Shinsengumi debate on what to do with Chizuru when they discover that she is the daughter of the doctor they are also looking for. So they decide to become Chizuru's protectors and help her look for her father(the doctor). Lots of events happen while she stays with the Shinsengumi, as they discover mysterious secrets and also fight against the Bakumatsu group. The story is overall romantic with a historical and political background. This is the version running in Sylph and not B's-LOG.

Deronga Five Alpha is a dying unstable planet which according to studies, used to be a very lush planet with all kinds of different species. The current state of the planet is a horrifying place where vicious carnivorous creatures fight in the ?œsurvival of the fittest.” Captain Bagures, the leader of the research spacecraft, is a cold and cruel woman who, despite the warnings, unnecessarily sends a military team down to the planet for research. The end result was a catastrophe with the team being slaughtered by the creatures on the planet. The leader of the team, Cannon, vows vengeance on Bagures before seemingly dying. Jump to 20 years later, a spaceship comes near Deronga Five Alpha to see the end of the planet. As the planet explodes, a foreign object attaches itself onto the spaceship. As nothing can survive a planetary explosion, the crew investigates the object only to find out it is one of the creatures from the planet Deronga. As the story progresses, the creature goes into a rage after seeing Bagures, now an extremely important person in the military, on the monitor screen. Could this creature be Cannon and how do you stop something that can withstand a planetary explosion?
