The Metafalss region, which encircles the second Tower of Ar tonelico, is thought to embody the Goddess Frelia in the Trio of Elemia. Tragically, the region is being ravaged by a dreadful illness called the Infel Pira Dependency (I.P.D.), which exclusively affects the Reyvateil population. Croix, a Knight hailing from the Grand Bell Church of Pastalia, has been commissioned to identify the cause of the epidemic and bring it under control. Yet, the situation is far from simple.
